Chocolate holds a special place in everyone’s hearts. In Pakistan, where prices are rising, people are on the lookout for options that are local or won’t break the bank. To gain more insights into this, I conducted a survey on my Instagram stories, involving nearly 90 participants, which included both chefs, experts, and home-based bakers. This diverse group shared their opinions through votes, and the results were quite telling.

Among the suggestions put forth by the respondents, Crave stood out with the most mentions, followed by Van Houten, Candyland, and Shokolaa.

ChocoBliss Crave- Dark Chocolate : Crave is used to prepare delectable recipes of cakes, brownies, cookies, and other desserts. Out of 90 voters, 40 chose Crave as the best option, making it the most widely consumed local, inexpensive chocolate. It is the most popular option among pastry makers because it perfectly combines premium ingredients with high-quality manufacturing practices in a European Plant.

Van Houten: Van Houten, is another well-known brand in the chocolate and cocoa industry. It is famous for its contributions to the development of cocoa processing techniques, including the invention of the cocoa press in the early 19th century. This was the audience’s second-best selection, right behind Crave.

Candyland Kitchen Creations: Candyland is a homegrown Pakistani brand that has developed legacy brands such as Chili Mili, Paradise, and NOW. Candyland’s Kitchen Creations cooking chocolate is made with the goodness of cocoa beans making it another wonderful local alternative for creating delectable desserts and divine confections.

Shokolaa (Crafted Chocolate): Shokolaa is Pakistan’s first bean-to-bar chocolate company. It’s an authentic chocolate company that creates chocolates that are pure and of the highest quality. The company was created with the mission of providing products that exude refinement and originality to native consumers.
