Description

‘Fools’ are essentially fruit blended with whipped cream, and they're quite simple to make with a small number of ingredients. To make a mango fool, fresh or frozen mangoes are pureed with few ingredients, and they are mixed with whipped cream.

 

Mango puree, whipped cream, and diced mangoes are layered to create this creamy delight dessert.  Mango Fool is a must-try at home during mango season for its flavor and makes events special. Making a mango fool is easy and quick, perfect for satisfying friends and family.

Ingredients:
  • 2-3 Mangoes (1 cup mango puree)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 200 milliliters dairy whipping cream
  • a bit of lemon zest (optional)
  • 2 tablespoons icing sugar (adjust accordingly)
  • 1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • For garnishing Mint sprigs
Instructions:
  1. Step 1:
    • Chop the mangoes, and reserve  ¼ cup of chopped mangoes.
    • In a blender add the remaining Mangoes, lemon juice, and granulated sugar and blend until a puree is formed. Transfer it to a bowl and set it aside. 
  2. Step 2:

    In a bowl add dairy whipping cream and beat until firm peaks form. Then add icing sugar, vanilla extract, and, a little lemon zest if using. Beat again until everything is thoroughly incorporated. 

  3. Step 3:

    Then add half a cup of mango puree while reserving half cup. Use a spatula to fold, and then transfer this mixture to a piping bag.

  4. Step 4:
    • Take serving glasses and layer one tablespoon of mango puree in each glass.
    • Next, pipe the mango and cream mixture.
  5. Step 5:
    • Put some more of the reserved mango puree on top.
    • Add 1 tablespoon of mango chunks on each serving glass, and a mint sprig for decoration.
    • Enjoy immediately or chill for two hours before serving!
Note

Amount of sugar in mango puree and whipped cream mixture can be adjusted accordingly.
