Description

This chocolate fudge frosting is not overly sweet, fudgy, and solid. It's quite easy to prepare though little patience is required. It's ideal for frosting chocolate, vanilla cakes, or cupcakes.

Ingredients:

Instructions:

  1. Step 1:

    • In a bowl add chopped chocolate and cream.
    • Melt it on a double boiler and allow it to cool.
    • Cover it with cling film and keep ganache in the refrigerator for 2-3 hours or  overnight

*Take ganache out of the refrigerator before you’ll start making frosting. It should be firm, not hard.
  2. Step 2:

    • In a separate bowl, beat softened butter for two to three minutes.
    • Add sifted icing sugar (one cup at a time) and beat.
    •  Next, add cocoa powder and beat again.
    • Then add vanilla extract and instant coffee powder. Beat until everything is well combined.
    • Lastly, add chocolate ganache that was prepared earlier and mix everything.
    • Check the consistency and add 1-2 tbsps. of milk if it’s too thick.

Frost your cakes, cupcakes, or eat with a spoon. Enjoy!

*Scrape the sides of the bowl using a spatula while making frosting. *This frosting may act differently at different temperatures. If the temperature is hot refrigerate it for 30 minutes. *This frosting is enough to frost a two-layered 8'' cake.
